RE:P Bio Fresh Mask With Real Nutrition Herb is a vegan-friendly, wash-off clay mask that claims to firm, brighten, and improve elasticity. 100% real crushed rosemary and peppermint herbs gently remove debris and dead skin cells while you massage this mask into your skin.

Free of mineral oil, sorbic acid, animal ingredients, surfactants, parabens, mineral oil and propylene glycol.

Key ingredient and benefits:

  • Kaolin – A gentle yet powerful mineral clay, draws out impurities for smoother, softer skin.
  • Rosemary Leaf Powder – Nutrients of rosemary can help protect skin cells from damage often caused by the sun and free radicals. Since rosemary has natural antiseptic properties, it’s a superior disinfectant for our skin.
  • Peppermint Leaf – The nutrients in peppermint leaves help tone the skin, minimize pores, reduce swelling and restore skin elasticity. Vitamins A and C are powerful antioxidants that fight inflammation.
  • Safflower Oil – contains about 78% of linoleic acid and helps retain moisture.

Before masking

My skin is feeling sensitive and even more prone to dehydration due to the colder temperatures. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

How to use:

First cleanse and tone skin. Use clean fingertips to apply mask over face and neck, avoiding eye and lip area. Leave on up to 10 minutes and rinse well. Follow with remaining steps of your skin care routine.

130g/4.55oz of product came in a thick plastic squat jar. This type of packaging is common for wash-off masks. Upon opening the lid, I was greeted with a strong herbal scent reminiscent of an apothecary. It was very pleasant and relaxing.

The mask had a gray-green tinge and felt buttery smooth. It had chunky bits of crushed up herbs suspended in it. The bits felt very soft and not at all abrasive on the skin.

During masking

The mask spreads very easily without dragging the skin, thanks to its buttery smooth texture. There was absolutely no tingling sensation like most other drying clay masks on my sensitive skin. Before I know it, I’ve already applied a thick opaque layer on my face.

Despite wearing it for 20 mins, 10 mins longer than the recommended wait time, I did not experience any dry or stretchy sensation. Most clay masks tend to dry out and crack very easily, thereby sucking the soul out of my skin in the process. But not this, it was still pretty moist.

I wet my face with lukewarm water and started massaging the mask around to give my skin a gentle exfoliation with the chunky herbs that got loosened. It was moderately easy to rinse off.

After masking

After toweling off, I did not experience any skin tightness. My skin felt normal but clean with less sebum. I’m guessing this is thanks to the presence of Safflower Oil.

My skin texture felt really smooth and soft, like a baby’s butt! Pores looked smaller and skin tone looked even and bright. There was some slight redness at first from rinsing the mask off, but after 10 mins, the redness completely disappeared.

I might just use a sunblock over this in the summer but I’m using this in the winter time where it’s drier and colder so I had to follow up with my normal skincare routine.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

I normally give away clay masks to family and friends after a review, but not this one. I love it so much I’m keeping it. I highly recommend it to all skin types especially during the colder months when facial scrubs and clay masks can be too harsh and drying. Check out more RE:P reviews here.
