Real Ferment Micro Serum Review

by Michelle Winter (Glitterballmagazine)

Getting healthier looking skin is easy with the Real Ferment Micro Serum from Neogen. A gel-type cream made with 61% natural fermented ingredients, it’s designed to improve skin radiance and increase moisture levels.

As any skin care enthusiast will tell you, we’re drawn to beauty products with our eyes. One look at the sleek packaging of this serum and it isn’t hard to see why it’s such a hit. I love the metallic box and iridescent finish to the bottle. Granted, the glass bottle isn’t travel-friendly but it looks so pretty in my beauty cabinet so I don’t care.

Nourishing ingredients for a healthy looking face

Skin-boosting extracts of collagen and panthenol improve hydration and eliminate dry patches. In addition to its skin plumping abilities, this multi-tasking serum contains green tea to calm irritated skin and protect it from early signs of ageing. It also targets pesky rosacea, acne and psoriasis.

Betula alba juice has an impressive range of vitamins including vitamins A, B1, B2, C and E to nourish and protect skin. Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate is a by-product from filtering yeast and is high in vitamins and minerals essential for glowing skin.

Sake contains ferulic acid, which combats acne and also deals with wrinkles, inflammation, while promoting a glowing complexion. A winning combination of niacinamide and glutathione improves dull skin and reduces age spots and fine lines. Niacinamide is also a well-known skin care ingredient for minimising the appearance of large pores.

Made from yeast, adenosine smooths skin and increases moisture levels. Perfect if your skin is dry or dehydrated! This serum also contains one of the most popular ingredients in Korean skin care, centella asiatica extract. Rich in antioxidants, it hydrates skin and soothes signs of irritation like redness or dry patches.

A serum to boost skin hydration

After applying a toner or my beloved SK-II First Treatment Essence, I tap a few drops of this serum into my skin. The gel-like consistency absorbs instantly and within seconds my skin feels firmer. It gives me a lovely healthy glow and visible sign of dehydrated skin disappear. Because this is highly effective at moisturising my skin, it’s perfect to use if I’m on the go but still want to take care of my skin.

As a skin care addict who scrapes every last drop out of the bottle, I’m delighted this serum has an easy to remove applicator, to help me get to the bottom. Because it’s such a pleasure to use, I would love to buy this in the future once I’ve finished this one.
