Exfoliating skin to get a super smooth and radiant complexion is simple with the Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon Face Pads. Containing a skin-boosting combination of chemical exfoliants, these single-use exfoliant pads are suitable for all skin types, particularly sensitive skin.

Created by one of my favourite Korean skin care brands, Neogen Dermalogy, these use an innovative three-layer pad technology with a gauze texture and soft embossed side. They limit skin irritation while effectively eliminating rough skin and preventing clogged pores. They’re also perfect for reducing sebum and promoting an even complexion.

Neogen DermalogyBio-Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon Face Pads: the ingredients

These Neogen exfoliating pads contain citrus limon (lemon) fruit extract, a powerful antioxidant and skin brightener also known to protect skin from UV damage and pollution. Saururus chinensis leaf/root extract works wonders for hyperpigmentation (but remember folks, always wear your sun cream to prevent hyperpigmentation).

Other ingredients include vitis vinifera (grape) fruit extract, a well-known antioxidant that helps protect skin against UV damage. It’s also full of malic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) which penetrates the top level of skin and encourages skin renewal.

Tricholoma matsutake extract provides anti-ageing and moisturising benefits and carica papaya (papaya) fruit extract helps fade acne scars and protect skin from sun damage. Broussonetia kazinoki bark extract brightens skin and melissa officinalis leaf extract is excellent for boosting skin circulation and calming skin (perfect if you have rosacea, like me).

You can’t have an effective exfoliator for sensitive skin without the inclusion of an acid or two. Neogen never really do things by halves and these exfoliating pads include three acids including tartaric acid, which is an alpha hydroxy acid (a chemical exfoliator that helps to remove dead skin cells and reduce wrinkles) and has antioxidant properties.

The final acids are glycolic acid to tackle fine lines and eliminate blackheads and lactic acid to reduce breakouts. Another skin saviour is sodium hyaluronate to seal in moisture. Perfect if you have parched skin.

A gentle exfoliator for sensitive skin

I always notice an immediate difference in my skin with the Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Lemon Face Pads. Not only is my complexion instantly brighter but it’s noticeably smoother, with fewer dry or rough patches. Although I don’t wear much make up, it doesn’t take much for me to get blocked pores around my nose.

I have very sensitive skin and rosacea across my cheeks and nose so it’s important for me to use a gentle exfoliator. I’m so happy with this new addition to my beauty routine. I use these pads a few times a week or whenever my skin needs a boost and gentle exfoliation.

If you’re keen to get a chok chok glow like Seo Kang Joon and Lee Dong Wook, you really need to try these! I’m officially obsessed. I know I’ve extended my ‘no beauty buy’ but I think these are going to be one of my next purchases when I finish the tub.

How to exfoliate you way to clearer skin

Whether you want to embrace a Korean multistep beauty routine, or prefer a minimum regime, you’ll love how easy it is to use these exfoliating pads. After removing your make up and cleansing your skin, slip fingers into the pocket of the peeling pad.

It’s important to be gentle but because they get to work quickly, using a light touch in a circular motion is more than enough to slough away dead skin. Sorry, there really is no sexy way to say that!

Start from your neck and work your way up to your forehead using the gauze side. Once you’ve done that, turn the pad over to the soft side and gently wipe over your face and neck to remove any excess dry skin. Afterwards, wash it off with lukewarm water. Now you’re ready to continue with the rest of your beauty routine!
